Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate all of the wonderful things in life that you are thankful for. Many cherish family and friends while others celebrate good fortune or good health. No matter what you choose to celebrate on this holiday, the means of celebration are the same for all of us; food and football. In the land of contradiction we pair athletic competition with glutinous consumption of 8 different kinds of carbs. Gotta love the USA!
This Thanksgiving we are forced to watch some unimpressive match-ups. Oakland is not a good team, the Lions are without their exciting rookie QB Matthew Stafford, and the Giants-Broncos game features two teams that are reeling from a series of poor performances. Fun fact, the tryptophan in turkey doesn’t make you sleepy as much as overeating and the overloading on carbohydrates does. This Thanksgiving football lineup may contribute to your afternoon nap just as much as the third helping of potatoes, stuffing, and green bean casserole.
