Colts Might Not Be Perfect After Week 15

Thursday night’s matchup represents a trap game for the Colts if it can really be called that. Usually a trap game implies that losing it will be a big deal. For the Colts it is not. They have won 22 straight setting a record for most consecutive regular season wins and have secured a 1st round bye and home field throughout the playoffs. So if they lose a division game on the road, it doesn’t really matter. That said, they are still the Colts.

On the other side of the ball, the Jaguars are fighting for a playoff spot and until last game they were playing great at home. Expect the Jags to be ready to play in this game against a division rival who might be sitting some starters with minor injuries. Even if the Colts open with a big lead early, the Jaguars could get back into the game as Colt players are put on the bench to keep them healthy.

All of these circumstances have led to a 3.5 point drop in the original opening line (Colts – 6.5). Large movement in the spread usually means that people jumped all over one team at the opening of betting. In this case it was the Jags meanings that most people think this will be close. Now at a 3 point spread the AFJ team has a much tougher pick to make.

Chad, Ian, & Kristian take the Jaguars +3 @ home.
